Band Biography

Caroline McHugh & Salt Creek band formed in 2005, by Caroline McHugh and Pat McGrath. They were formerly a husband and wife Duo.

They decided to expand the outfit to 5 and put their show on the road. In the short time they have been together they have covered a lot of ground, and continue to do so!

Caroline made her first debut CD” Time has come”; the CD consists of three outstanding tracks.

This was to become Caroline’s promotional CD, already earning a fan base over the airwaves, Caroline and her band have had airplay world wide, from Europe to as far as Australia, her songs are played regularly, building lots of listeners along the way, requesting too hear tracks from her CD.

Time has come made no.2 in the Belgium country music charts.

On the strength of the success of the first CD, Caroline and Salt Creek have toured the USA with a promotional tour in 2006.

The Trip was very successful and influential, they we were introduced to a musician/Promoter in Denver, who happened to have heard the Time Has Come CD through contact with a UK Promoter. They both worked very hard to arrange the promotional tour. Caroline and the band headed to Denver, where they played sell out shows. They even managed to appear in Nebraska country music festival at the Adams showground, this infact was so successful. The band earned best band of the year award that was accepted with such pride and Jamie excelled by receiving an award for best instrumentalist.

Caroline and Salt Creek has been so fortunate to meet some fantastic people who have given them an opportunity to appear on the RMAF, which will be such an honour and will also be very exciting. The last eighteen months have been so eventful and rewarding as a band, so much so that we have worked further than we could ever imagine possible, taking the band to Portugal, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The future for Caroline and Salt creek sees the band continuing to tour in and outside the UK, branching in to more of Europe, America and hopefully as far as Australia. The band tour all over the UK covering all clubs, theatres, concert halls, festivals.

They are very proud to be invited to the USA to perform to the American people, as it is always an honour to perform country music in the home of country music.
